Job summary

JetBlue is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer, DevOps to drive cloud practices for build management, product release and operations. You will automate builds, manage deployment, and ensure scalable, repeatable release processes.

The role requires strong leadership in CI/CD, scripting, containerization (Kubernetes/Docker), and collaboration with security and infrastructure teams. On-call readiness and travel as needed are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with strong related experience.
• 6+ years building enterprise-scale cloud/infrastructure solutions.
• Experience with CI/CD and automation across large platforms.
• Proficiency with scripting in PowerShell, Bash, Python.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
• Knowledge of release management and Canary/Blue-Green strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement CI/CD pipelines for product releases and deployments.
• Automate build, test, and release processes, including regression testing.
• Mentor engineers on software release best practices and architecture.
• Review code and ensure high-quality, scalable deployments and documentation.
• Collaborate with security, operations, and development teams to enforce standards.
• Be on-call for issue resolution and emergency response.
