Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal/Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist for Elkton, MD. You will lead material requirements, supplier management and program planning for PS&C initiatives, coordinating across Purchasing, Logistics and Production Control to meet program goals.

The role emphasizes leadership, Lean/PES/Six Sigma tools and a focus on safety, with eligibility for a Security Clearance and a competitive compensation package. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 9 years of experience; a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience or a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience may be considered
• 5 years of experience managing programs, subcontracts, materials, and/or services
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, financial systems, FAR, and ITAR
• Demonstrated leadership experience
• Ability to acquire a Security Clearance which requires US Citizenship as a pre-requisite

Responsibilities

• Liaison for assigned program(s) and supply chain management function including buyers, planners, subcontract administrators, scheduling, customers and suppliers
• Represent Northrop Grumman in Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and leadership briefings
• Oversee all Supply Chain Management activities needed to meet program requirements and maintain link between various Supply Chain functions including Purchasing/Sub-Contracts, Logistics and Production Control
• Identify and mitigate program risks as they pertain to material requirements
• Oversee material program planning and execution through applicable phases to support prime program requirements: concept, exploration, engineering development, advanced development, production, sustainment, retirement
