Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands on experience in software development, including design, implementation, debugging, and support.
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Proficient with Java and Python; scripting with Shell and Perl
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and web services technology
• Experience in crafting, building and debugging large scale distributed systems
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and OO design
• Track record of building mission-critical 24x7 production software
• Familiar with micro-services architecture and tools like Nomad/K8s
• Experience with Docker and LXC/LXD runtimes
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices across the SDLC
• Strong desire to build with ownership and urgency
• Systematic problem solving with ownership
• Experience communicating with users, teams, and senior management
• Solid understanding of performance and customer focus
• Ability to mentor other developers
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Set product-wide patterns for microservices and data modeling (spatial/graph) to accelerate delivery.
• Solve complex problems related to infrastructure cloud services and automate to prevent recurrence.
• Design, develop and deploy software to improve availability, scalability, and efficiency of Oracle products.
• Design and develop architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale distributed systems.
• Lead capacity planning, demand forecasting, performance analysis, and system tuning.
