Job summary

Progressive Insurance is seeking a Senior Principal Data Scientist for the Claims Control Data Solutions group. You will guide the largest data science and engineering team, applying ML, ML vision, and generative AI to improve claim accuracy and efficiency.

You’ll collaborate with business leaders, product, and tech to design, test, launch and scale responsible AI solutions. Preferred candidates have 8+ years in statistical/quant modeling or ML, with advanced degrees and experience leading

Qualifications

• 8+ years in statistical modeling or ML with large data.
• Bachelor’s degree with quantitative focus and relevant ML experience or higher.
• Master’s degree with quantitative focus and ML tools experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale analytical and AI solutions across Claims data teams.
• Collaborate with Claims leaders, business partners, product and technology to deploy models.
• Develop rigorous evaluation, monitoring, and safety practices for production models.
