Job summary

Nightwing is seeking a senior software engineer in Sterling, VA to lead full-stack development across front-end and back-end components. You will implement automated tests, ensure code quality, and optimize performance.

The role requires secret clearance eligibility and experience with cloud deployments and secure coding practices. Responsibilities include collaboration with DevOps and cross-functional teams, mentoring engineers, and shaping security and scalability policies for large-scale

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• Experience with Python, Java, NodeJS and full-stack development.
• Strong knowledge of front-end and back-end frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and Git platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance front-end and back-end components of web applications.
• Implement automated tests and smoke tests; perform unit/integration testing.
• Optimize apps for speed and scalability; troubleshoot defects.
• Handle authentication, authorization, and session management; integrate third-party services.
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines; deploy to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, and development teams; document changes and best practices.
• Lead multiple software development teams; ensure security and performance requirements.
