Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Configuration Analyst in Rancho Bernardo, CA. You will manage configuration identification, control, status accounting and audits across hardware, software, and documentation to keep products traceable and compliant.

The role requires implementing CM processes, coordinating changes, and interfacing with engineering, logistics, and program management. A Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in a STEM field with 8+ years of CM experience or equivalent.
• Experience with CM tools and repositories (PLM/PPM, version control).
• Active US Government Secret clearance or higher.
• Experience supporting aerospace/defense programs.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain CM baselines for AISR&T systems and documentation.
• Implement CM processes, tools, and repositories to control changes.
• Coordinate ECRs/ECNs and support CCBS with approvals.
• Maintain CM records and status accounting (PNs, versions, builds).
• Support configuration audits and respond to findings or discrepancies.
• Interface with engineering, logistics, and program management for CM data.
• Support build/release processes and generate release notes.
• Generate CM metrics, reports, and dashboards for health and compliance.
• Ensure CM practices comply with standards and customer requirements.
