Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Computer Systems Analyst - Linux to support classified government contracts at our El Segundo, CA site. The role requires strong Linux expertise, cross-platform knowledge, and the ability to work in a secure environment.

You will mentor teammates, define system enhancements, and drive security-compliant operations while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. On-site work is required with potential after-hours work as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree with 6 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor's with 8 years; OR an Associate with 10 years; OR a High School Diploma with 12 years.
• Security+ certification (or greater) required.
• Current US Government Top Secret security clearance required.
• Linux OS workstation and server management in a classified environment.
• Cross-platform operations (Windows, Linux, UNIX, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead Sr. Principal Computer Systems Analyst - Linux for classified government contracts.
• Communicate effectively with all levels, internal/external customers, vendors, and leadership.
• Oversee operations and administration of multi-user computer systems and networks.
• Analyze requirements and implement hardware/software solutions; evaluate products with vendors.
• Define and maintain enterprise-wide system enhancements, upgrades, monitoring, and security.
• Design backup strategies including disaster recovery for critical systems.
• Enforce account management, file permissions, and security procedures.
• Lead testing, validation, and change management for major releases.
• Develop, publish, and improve technical standards and SOPs.
• Ensure IS security guidelines compliance; maintain A&A submissions; liaise with ISSM.
• Report status to executives; advise on enterprise-wide systems.
• Mentor junior and senior team members to grow capabilities.
