Job summary

SambaNova Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Compiler Engineer to lead IR, pass infrastructure, model lowering, partitioning, and tensor tiling. You will influence hardware design for peak performance and mentor senior and early-career engineers.

You will partner with cross-functional teams, drive cross-disciplinary collaboration, and help recruit for the organization while shaping the compiler roadmap for high-performance AI workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with 5–10 years of industry experience.
• Experience with compiler fundamentals and software product development.
• Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch and MLIR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead compiler engineering through standard methodologies, enterprise product insertion and process evolution.
• Collaborate with peers, domain experts, developers, customers, and cross-enterprise teams for optimal solutions.
• Develop, integrate, and implement compiler products and enhancements.
• Support proposals in core areas aligned with team competencies.
