Job summary

SambaNova Systems Austin is seeking a Senior Principal Compiler Engineer to lead IR and pass infrastructure, model lowering and partitioning, tensor tiling, and mapping operations onto the fabric to optimize performance.

You will mentor senior engineers, collaborate with peers and customers, recruit for the organization, and contribute to proposals while helping shape our on‑premises and cloud platform strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/CE or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of industry experience.
• Experience building and deploying software products.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of compiler fundamentals.
• Ability to mentor and recruit.

Responsibilities

• Lead compiler engineering through ensuring standard methodologies, enterprise product insertion and process evolution.
• Work with peers, domain experts, developers, customers, and work across the enterprise seeking optimal solutions.
• Develop, integrate, and implement products.
• Provide support for proposals in key areas aligned with core team competencies.
