Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Cardiac Medical Sonography program or equivalent experience.
• RDCS certification required.
• BART or BLS at hire with commitment to obtain BART within six months.
• Four years of relevant experience for Principal level or equivalent.
• Ability to place IVs (training provided).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform 3D echocardiography, strain imaging and apply advanced cardiac ultrasound imaging techniques.
• Perform diagnostic recordings, measurements and Doppler data at rest and with stress.
• Identify patients requiring enhancement agents and administer ultrasound enhancement agents.
• Train cardiac sonographers, students, residents and fellows; participate in personnel selection.
• Float to labs; may work nights weekends and on-call.
