Job summary

Panasonic Avionics Corporation in Irvine seeks a Senior Connectivity Architect to lead the global Connectivity architecture across hardware and software for in-flight systems. You will drive scalable, low-latency solutions and guide cross-functional teams toward future-ready software.

You will partner with executives to align architecture with product strategy, shaping initiatives and governing standards for long-term reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with global connectivity providers and airline customers.
• Experience in systems/solution architecture roles.
• Proven experience with connectivity systems, SATCOM, or aviation platforms.
• Experience in IFC/IFEC systems preferred.
• Proficiency in C++, Java, and Go.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong knowledge of satellite communications and cloud-native platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive global Connectivity architecture vision across hardware and software.
• Align architecture with product strategy with executive leadership.
• Ensure reliable, cost-effective, future-ready software solutions.
• Lead architectural strategy and governance with PI Planning.
• Drive cloud-native architectures for scalable, distributed systems.
• Anticipate and evaluate emerging technologies guiding adoption.
• Act as senior technical authority addressing cross-system challenges.
