Job summary

Rocket Software's DataEdge team seeks a Senior Principal Architect to define and drive the platform strategy, aligning product roadmaps with customer needs and Rocket's strategic direction.

You will lead cloud-native architecture across data integration, replication, synchronization, and AI-enabled services, collaborating with product, engineering, and executives to deliver scalable, enterprise-grade platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience defining architecture and technology strategy across multiple enterprise products or platforms.
• Strong expertise in LLMs, agentic systems, MCP, retrieval architectures, enterprise AI integration, and responsible AI patterns.
• Delivery of AI-enabled product capabilities and AI-enabled engineering practices.
• Deep expertise in cloud-native architecture, containers, Kubernetes, distributed systems, and modern software delivery.
• Experience building shared platforms, services, APIs, or reusable frameworks and leading technology consolidation.
• Partnership with Product Management on strategy, roadmaps, prioritization, and investment decisions.
• Ability to lead cross-product initiatives, resolve competing priorities, and influence without direct authority.
• Exceptional communication and facilitation skills; experience mentoring senior engineers or architects.

Responsibilities

• Define DataEdge platform strategy with cross-product roadmap.
• Build alignment across Product and Engineering teams.
• Collaborate to identify shared platform opportunities across DataEdge and Rocket portfolios.
• Drive reusable services, APIs, frameworks, and common platform capabilities.
• Define cloud-native deployment, configuration, scalability, observability, security.
• Lead adoption and integration of AI platform capabilities across DataEdge.
• Prioritize AI capabilities delivering measurable customer value.
• Represent the DataEdge technology vision to internal and external stakeholders.
• Shape DataEdge within Rocket's broader data, analytics, and AI ecosystem.
• Promote industry standards, open APIs, and interoperability.
• Coach teams on AI-enabled development, testing, and delivery.
• Lead architecture reviews and mentor senior staff.
