Job summary

PM2CM, Inc. in Pomona, CA seeks a Senior Project Controls Scheduler to support major capital and infrastructure projects for a large utility client. You will develop, maintain, and analyze complex schedules using Primavera P6 and report progress to project leadership.

The role requires 7+ years of scheduling experience, strong knowledge of EVM concepts, WBS, risk forecasting, and collaboration with engineers, contractors, and PMs. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, construction management, project management, business, finance, data science or related field
• 7+ years of experience in project scheduling, project controls, construction, or capital projects
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6
• Experience with critical path scheduling, schedule forecasting, variance analysis, WBS development, and integrated master schedules
• Experience supporting construction, infrastructure, or capital improvement projects
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Visio)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to gather information from multiple project teams and stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update complex project schedules using Primavera P6
• Support major capital projects and programs from planning through construction and project completion
• Develop and maintain integrated master schedules, project-level schedules, and WBS
• Incorporate existing schedules from multiple project teams and contractors into integrated project schedules
• Track and monitor project milestones, critical path activities, dependencies, constraints, and deliverables
• Perform schedule analysis, forecasting, and variance analysis to identify potential delays and schedule risks
• Monitor project performance against baseline schedules and targets
• Document project delays and support Time Impact Analysis (TIA)
• Analyze schedule trends and recommend corrective actions
• Schedule large programs involving multiple concurrent projects/work groups
• Track permitting activities and external dependencies
• Apply project controls principles including earned value and trend analysis
• Prepare project controls reports, dashboards, and management analyses
• Gather information from project managers and stakeholders for governance and reporting
• Identify issues and risks and develop solutions with teams
• Provide recommendations to leadership on schedule performance and risks
• Collaborate to set objectives, milestones, timelines, and deliverables
• Mentor junior project controls and scheduling professionals
