Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in the United States seeks a Senior Pricing Analyst to prepare proposals for development, production and competitive contracts, leading reviews of estimates and pricing before senior management review.

You will analyze cost estimates for labor, materials and subcontracts, identify price risks, support audits, and coordinate with operations to ensure compliant, competitive bids in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Minimum 8–12 years of related experience in Estimating and/or Finance
• Intermediate Excel skills required
• Strong project management skills including organizing, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet proposal milestones
• Analytical, verbal and written communication skills; strong computer skills

Responsibilities

• Reviews RFPs and proposal documents for compliance to customer specifications/requirements and adherence to company policy
• Provides regular and ad hoc pricing analysis and presents costs estimates to management, customer representatives and government audit agencies
• Prepares and validates cost estimates for sustainment, engineering and manufacturing labor, materials, subcontracts and vendor data, parts & equipment
• Identifies cost and price risks and applies to estimates where applicable
• Supports DCAA audits and assists with contract negotiations as necessary and liaises between operations and other support organizations for estimating instructions and pricing
• Performs analysis of cost estimates identifying inconsistencies and issues.
• Develops different cost estimation projects and procedures for final approval by management
• Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in‑depth evaluation of variable factors
• Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead)
