Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Sr Pricing Analyst to drive profitable growth for its $3 billion Auto and Home portfolio by analyzing and evaluating pricing performance at the state level, and delivering action-oriented solutions to Pricing and Product Management leadership.

We are looking for someone with strong statistical, analytical and communication skills, with a desire to challenge and continuously improve processes and to creatively solve new problems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in insurance preferred.
• Actuarial background and familiarity with Personal Lines a plus.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail with strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate state performance metrics such as rate indications, trends, loss patterns.
• Evaluate sub-state performance and recommend actions to improve profitability and growth.
• Create and improve analytical tools using actuarial methods.
• Communicate changes and participate in countrywide projects and product features.
• Build partnerships with product management, technology, operations, data science, actuarial and compliance.
• Improve analytics capabilities, data, automation, documentation and quality measures.
