Job summary

Southwest Search is assisting a multi-billion-dollar global retail and distribution company in Dallas to hire a Senior Pricing Analyst. You will shape pricing across product and customer segments, advance the Customized Pricing Model, and ensure competitiveness and profitability in the USA.

The role emphasizes establishing pricing strategies, delivering analytical insights, and partnering with merchandising and purchasing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar degrees required.
• Minimum 3 years of cost / pricing, revenue management, operations, sales, or business development experience required
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Professional working experience with SQL, Python, or Power BI required
• Great communicator, both written and verbal
• Able to work in a flexible environment that includes at a minimum of 4 days a week in the office.

• Teach branch network the benefits of Customized Pricing for every customer
• Using the Customized Pricing Model, to ensure we are competitive and remain profitable across the assigned categories by determining the appropriate CMPs, Rate Card discounts and Suggested Specials.
• Provide analytical insights to advise Category Management and field leadership of price, cost, and purchasing opportunities to improve gross profit.
• Effectively communicate strategies to branch network, merchandising & purchasing teams.

Position Summary

The Senior Pricing Analyst is responsible for establishing and executing pricing business strategy for optimizing gross profit in the assigned categories. The brief is to continue to advance our model and service in the USA managing pricing across all product and customer segments, advancing the Customized Pricing Model, to ensure we are competitive and profitable. The primary role of Senior Pricing Analyst is to achieve optimum overall acceptance and profitability of Customized Pricing, ensure the appropriate level of pricing competitiveness and support the field’s pricing requirements.
