Job summary

TruCapital Partners is seeking a Senior Pricing Actuary to lead ratemaking, pricing strategy, and rating system development for a growing non-admitted commercial casualty portfolio. The role blends technical pricing with coding and underwriting enablement, owning the pricing architecture lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have extensive P&C pricing experience, strong Python and SQL skills, and ACAS/FCAS credentials, driving rate changes and tool deployment across underwriting workflows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of actuarial experience in P&C ratemaking, pricing, or rating system development.
• Strong background in non-admitted/E&S casualty preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, with rating logic and model frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead ratemaking and rate maintenance across long-tail non-admitted casualty lines (GL, Excess Casualty, Umbrella).
• Build, program, and maintain proprietary rating tools and pricing engines using Python.
• Use SQL to monitor rate adequacy, analyze execution rates, and generate monthly pricing performance metrics.
• Develop and deploy updates to rating algorithms, hazard factors, tiering matrices, and underwriting calculators.
• Ensure underwriting teams operate on consistent, optimized pricing platforms.
• Rapidly adjust pricing structures to reflect market conditions, including tort trends, inflation, and reinsurance cost shifts.
