Job summary

Air Products in Gonzales, LA, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide pressure systems support for fixed equipment across North America, focusing on Gulf Coast facilities. You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and 3rd party firms to troubleshoot and implement repairs during outages.

The role requires a bachelor's in mechanical engineering and 5–7 years of relevant experience, with familiarity in ASME and API codes, boilers, vessels, piping, and heat exchangers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 5–7 years of relevant work experience is required.
• ASME/API Pressure Vessel, Piping inspection and design knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Mechanical Engineering Support for fixed equipment during planned and unplanned outages.
• Develop plans and lead repairs/alterations to coded vessels and fixed equipment.
• Perform design calculations and coordinate with third-party engineers to implement changes.
• Participate in pressure systems failure investigations and safety reviews.
