Job summary

ERGO NEXT Insurance seeks a Senior Premium Auditor to independently manage complex Workers’ Compensation audits across multiple states, including test-state work, while helping teammates tackle challenging issues. Your judgment will drive audit quality and process improvements.

You will lead audits in CA, FL, OR, AK, apply NCCI/WCIRB rules, and ensure regulatory compliance, with strong analytical and communication skills to explain findings to customers and partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of premium auditing experience, including Workers’ Compensation and multi-state audits.
• Advanced knowledge of NCCI/WCIRB rules, classification and audit standards.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills; proficient in MS Office.
• Independent judgment in complex reviews, disputes and regulatory interpretation.
• Able to explain technical findings clearly to customers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, high-value, multi-state Workers’ Compensation audits (CA, FL, OR, AK).
• Investigate and resolve audit disputes with state-specific requirements.
• Review and reconcile audits for accuracy and regulatory compliance (WCIRB in CA).
• Perform General Liability or combined audits for larger policies as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve audit accuracy and efficiency.

As a Senior Premium Auditor, you will independently manage complex Workers’ Compensation audits, including multi-state and test-state work, while helping teammates tackle challenging issues. Your judgment will help improve audit quality, strengthen compliance, and make processes better for everyone.

What You'll Do:

• Lead complex, high-value and multi-state Workers’ Compensation audits, including test-state audits in CA, FL, OR and AK
• Investigate and resolve challenging audit disputes, applying state-specific requirements, policy terms and sound judgment
• Review and reconcile complex audits for accuracy and regulatory compliance, including WCIRB requirements in California
• Perform General Liability or combined audits for larger, more complex policies as needed
• Identify opportunities to improve audit accuracy, efficiency, and existing processes

What We Need:

• 5+ years of premium auditing experience, including significant Workers’ Compensation and multi-state audit experience
• Apply advanced knowledge of NCCI/WCIRB rules, Workers’ Compensation classification and audit standards
• Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Exercise independent judgment in complex reviews, disputes and regulatory interpretation
• Work collaboratively with teammates and explain technical findings clearly to customers and partners

Unstoppable Qualities:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or an insurance-related field, or comparable professional experience
• WCIRB, PAAS TAP or APA certification
• Experience with General Liability audits, ISO guidelines and audit systems such as NEXUS, AUSUM, Insurity or PATS

US annual base salary range for this full-time position:

$80,000 - $90,000 USD
