Job summary

Commercial Metals Company is seeking a Sr. Industrial Mechanic (Predictive Maintenance - PdM) in Birmingham, AL. You will implement and lead the PdM program, diagnose complex issues, and drive reliability across heavy industrial equipment.

You will collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to improve asset performance and safety culture in a fast-paced environment. The role requires strong hands-on PdM experience, experience with pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics, and vibration analysis, and

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of field experience in heavy industrial operations and/or manufacturing.
Experience with welding, cutting, fabrication, and equipment maintenance preferred.
Ability to read hydraulic schematics and diagnose pressure-related issues.

Responsibilities

Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and upholds the Safety Culture.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems using test equipment and tools to determine root cause.
Execute and continuously improve the Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Program.
Provide monthly equipment health reports with findings, recommendations, and action plans.
Work with Supervisors, Reliability Engineers, and Maintenance Planners to optimize maintenance strategies.
