Job summary

Intermountain Electric, Inc. (IME) is seeking an Associate Director of Preconstruction to lead pricing strategy, uphold estimating standards, and elevate pursuit effectiveness across the organization. This senior role combines hands-on leadership with enterprise‑level perspective and client engagement.

You will mentor a team of estimators, shape win strategies, and partner with executive leadership to drive long-term capability and growth in a dynamic MS/industrial market across the Western U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering/Architecture or related field.
• CCM/PE/LEED/Lean or CST preferred.
• Extensive experience leading large preconstruction and estimating efforts.
• Proven ability to mentor teams and develop leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead pricing strategy and estimate development for large, complex pursuits.
• Establish, document and validate estimate assumptions, risk registers, contingencies, and escalation logic.
• Ensure estimates align with company risk tolerance, market positioning and delivery strategy.
• Review and approve final pricing prior to executive sign-off and drive corrective action post‑pursuit.
• Mentor estimators and preconstruction managers through leadership development.
