Job summary

Hillwood Construction Services (HCS) seeks an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead budgeting, estimating, and bid coordination for industrial and commercial projects in Dallas, Texas, or North Ft. Worth.

You will mentor junior team members and collaborate with Development and Construction teams to ensure quality and client satisfaction. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering and 10+ years in preconstruction or general contracting,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in preconstruction, construction management, or general contracting.
• Knowledge of permitting, building codes, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Preconstruction and Estimating: Partner with Development and Construction teams to provide feasibility snapshots and competitive strategies.
• Bid Management: Develop bid instructions, solicit bids from pre-approved subs, and organize pre-bid/bid meetings.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Review documents for accuracy, distribute RFIs, and provide progress updates.
• Utilize preconstruction software (ProEst, Building Connected, TradeTapp, Bluebeam) for estimating and design review.
• Facilitate handoffs to operations teams for execution.
