Job summary

Hlousek Group in the Dallas–Fort Worth area is seeking an experienced Project Manager to take full ownership of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

You will lead project teams, manage budgets and schedules, coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires a proven track record with ground-up projects and strong financial controls to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of commercial construction experience.
• Experience managing ground-up projects from start to finish.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• Experience in light industrial, healthcare, or mission-critical projects preferred.
• Strong scheduling, cost control, and project documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Manage project financials including budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and profitability.
• Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with field leadership.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and enforce contracts and schedule commitments.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and project documentation.
• Support procurement, buyout, and contract issuance.
• Lead project meetings and communicate with owners, architects, and subs.
• Prepare and submit pay applications and manage billing processes.
• Oversee change management including pricing, negotiation, and change orders.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality expectations.

This individual will take full ownership of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, leading project teams while ensuring successful delivery across schedule, budget, and quality.

This role requires a strong leader who can manage multiple stakeholders, maintain financial control of projects, and drive execution in a fast paced environment.

• Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with owners, architects, and subcontractors.
• Prepare and submit pay applications while managing billing and payment processes.
• Oversee change management including pricing, negotiation, and execution of change orders.
• Ensure projects meet company safety standards and quality expectations.

Qualifications

• Mixed-commercial project experience is also sought after.
