The Weitz Company is hiring a Preconstruction Manager II to join our team in West Palm Beach, FL. This role leads the project team, develops cost estimates and schedules, and ensures successful transition of preconstruction services to operations.

We are a long-established construction firm offering a full suite of services. The position emphasizes client advocacy, collaboration with operations, and driving profitability through proactive planning and risk management.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of extensive experience with estimating and/or project management construction.
• MEP experience (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and GC experience on commercial projects including aviation, education, senior living, public work, or resorts/hospitality.
• Experience partnering with operations, estimating, and business development teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage the preconstruction process efficiently with a keen awareness of client needs and company goals.
• Document and communicate progress during preconstruction, especially at schematic, design development, and construction document phases.
• Develop accurate estimates, scheduling, strategy, and communication throughout preconstruction.
• Review weekly progress and adjust to keep schedule on track; advise on cost/schedule issues.
• Understand local market logistics and how they impact project costs.
• Lead and mentor team members and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure profitable turnover.
