Job summary

Willmeng Construction is seeking a Precon Manager to guide budgeting and bidding on commercial projects in Phoenix. You will collaborate with preconstruction and business development teams to review plans, prepare quantities, and price bids while maintaining Willmeng’s quality standards and client satisfaction.

The role emphasizes independent ownership, timely bid delivery, and strong communication with owners and architects to refine budgets as design evolves.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in preconstruction or estimating roles.
• Proficiency with OnScreen Takeoff, Excel macros, and estimating software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools.
• Strong knowledge of construction costs, methods, and principles.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, requirements, and specifications with preconstruction and business development teams.
• Perform quantity take-offs, prepare pricing, and manage bidding for construction projects.
• Understand construction costs and industry standards to ensure quality benchmarks.
• Collaborate with architects, owners, and internal teams as design evolves.
• Own tasks independently and drive timely budget presentations to clients.
