Job summary

Kraus-Anderson is seeking a seasoned estimator to support project teams with preconstruction services in Minnesota. The role covers conceptual and final estimates, cost analyses, scheduling, and bidding support. You will leverage OST, WinEst, Modelogix, and Excel to inform cost decisions.

The position requires strong written and verbal communication, the ability to work under pressure, and the drive to deliver high-quality cost estimates on time. Travel to jobsites may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience
• Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Working knowledge of preconstruction software
• Ability to develop conceptual estimates quickly using plans and specs
• Strong communication and time-management skills

Responsibilities

• Completes necessary take-offs and prepares cost estimates
• Preparation of conceptual estimates
• Supports project team in soliciting subcontractors and bid requirements
• Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
• Maintains unit pricing database and tracks market trends
• Maintains knowledge of estimating software (On-screen Takeoff, WinEst, Modelogix)
• Manages workload to meet preconstruction deliverables and deadlines
• Travel to jobsites as necessary
