Job summary

Eastern Builders in Johns Creek, GA seeks a Senior Preconstruction Manager to lead the Commercial Preconstruction Team. You will develop and manage project estimates, value engineering, and GMPs, ensuring pricing is current and data-driven to win work.

You will mentor estimators and coordinate with Business Development, operations, and clients to communicate capabilities and deliver accurate budgets and schedules for pursuits and negotiated work.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in commercial general construction estimating with preconstruction teams.
• Senior estimating experience may be considered if aligned with project and contractor type.
• Strong knowledge of preconstruction processes, scope development, cost estimating, construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam and Scheduling Software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the preconstruction team, including estimators, coordinators, and support staff.
• Coordinate with business development and executive leadership to evaluate new project opportunities and support proposals.
• Participate in client presentations, interviews, and strategy sessions to communicate preconstruction capabilities and value.
• Provide early-stage feasibility analysis, budgeting, and scheduling input for pursuits and negotiated work.
• Serve as the primary preconstruction contact and escalation point for clients.
• Cultivate and maintain strong subcontractor relationships for pricing and work execution.
• Oversee the quality, accuracy, and completeness of preconstruction deliverables across all trades.
