Job summary

Jobot is seeking a seasoned Preconstruction Manager for our design-build projects in the United States. Lead the front-end planning, develop budgets and value-engineering options, and coordinate with owners, designers, and trade partners to drive accurate pricing and schedules.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project management within commercial construction.
• Proven experience leading preconstruction efforts on mid-to-large scale projects.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods.
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience working with subcontractors across multiple trades.
• Proficiency with estimating and project management software (specific platforms not required).
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preconstruction phase for multiple commercial projects from conceptual design through GMP or lump-sum pricing.
• Develop and manage detailed cost estimates, budgets, and value engineering options.
• Coordinate closely with owners, architects, engineers, and internal operations teams to align scope, schedule, and cost.
• Oversee constructability reviews, risk assessments, and design development milestones.
• Prepare and manage bid packages; lead subcontractor outreach, evaluation, and leveling.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure a seamless handoff from preconstruction to construction.
• Support schedule development in coordination with project management and field leadership.
• Provide clear, professional presentations to clients and internal stakeholders.
