Job summary

Mid Atlantic Contracting is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead our preconstruction efforts in Maryland. You will develop budgets, prepare detailed estimates, and manage bid packages for commercial projects while evaluating risks and opportunities.

You will collaborate with operations, business development, and leadership to improve processes, ensure accuracy, and drive results. Strong GC estimating background and phased project experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in commercial construction estimating for a GC or similar contractor.
• Ability to develop budgets from concept through bid submission.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
• Experience with occupied/ phased renovations is a plus.
• Ability to lead preconstruction with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating and preconstruction for commercial projects.
• Develop conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, and bid proposals.
• Review plans, specs, contracts, and bid documents.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and pricing analyses.
• Support pursuit strategies with budgeting and pricing guidance.
• Build subcontractor relationships and drive bid coverage.
