Job summary

Red Cedar Construction Services, LLC is seeking a Construction Estimator in Charlotte, NC. The role leads cost development, bid strategy, and buyout support from early design through contract award, working with design and operations teams to protect margins.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction, with Procore and Bluebeam proficiency, and a strong grasp of CSI MasterFormat and cost data management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in commercial construction; multifamily, townhome, or built-to-rent preferred.
• Proficiency with estimating software and takeoff tools; strong working knowledge of Procore.

Responsibilities

• Own full estimating lifecycle from conceptual budgeting to bid-day estimates.
• Solicit and level subcontractor bids; ensure complete, accurate bid packages.
• Develop detailed scopes of work and buyout support; communicate assumptions and exclusions clearly.
• Maintain and update historical cost data; track bid performance and accuracy.
• Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews to protect margin.
