Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Permanent Estimator to support a top Wisconsin General Contractor with extensive preconstruction work. The role focuses on takeoffs, estimates, bid preparation, and conceptual estimating, leveraging estimating software and strong analytical ability.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in construction estimating, a solid understanding of construction methods, and a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) with professional estimating certification as a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
• Proven experience with takeoffs, estimates, quantity take off, preparing bids, and conceptual estimating.
• Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.
• Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Professional certification in estimating or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute takeoffs, estimates, and quantity takeoffs to prepare bids.
• Develop conceptual and detailed estimates for projects.
• Utilize estimating software and tools to support bid development.
• Collaborate with preconstruction and project teams to shape proposals.
• Contribute to a strong pipeline for existing and new clients.
