Job summary

Harris Companies seeks a Chief Estimator to plan and implement delivery of preconstruction services and new business initiatives. You will develop conceptual estimates, manage proposal finances, and build trusted advisor relationships with Owners, GCs and Design Teams.

Lead preconstruction strategies, track project scope and budget trends, and ensure estimates differentiate Harris from competitors. The role emphasizes rapid responsiveness and strong client engagement across multiple regional

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in relevant field is preferred or equivalent years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
• 4+ years of industry knowledge of mechanical and plumbing.
• 4+ years of customer service experience.
• Proficient understanding of engineering and technology including principles and procedures.
• Knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating and construction contracts.
• Advanced knowledge of plumbing, piping, or sheet metal systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual estimates and submit proposals.
• Manage the financial aspects of proposals and contracts.
• Monitor construction activities and meet with clients to ensure objectives are met.
• Deliver preconstruction services and build trusted advisor relationships with Owner, GC and Design Team.
• Develop/Implement preconstruction strategies and expand pre-con process across offices.
• Represent Company in marketing/events and lead sponsored events.
