Job summary

Wohlsen Construction is seeking an experienced Preconstruction and Estimating leader in Berwyn, PA to drive all activities from early estimates to GMP signing. You will coach and manage the team, ensure customer satisfaction, and coordinate with architectural and owner teams to deliver accurate bids and budgets.

The role emphasizes leadership, budgeting, and value engineering to maximize profitability while meeting client needs. Travel to regional offices and long hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Engineering, Construction Technology, Architecture or similar field of study.
• 3-10 years of construction experience.
• Have a valid driver license with the ability to travel to regional offices to support local estimating projects.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Work additional hours to meet business plan goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Wohlsen preconstruction team to accomplish contract requirements, budgeting, scheduling, or organizing.
• Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development and GMP estimates to support preconstruction activities and clients.
• Attend scheduled meetings with project architects/customer to align on bidding documents.
• Maintain and adjust owner’s budget as required to maintain project budget.
• Monitor design scope for changes affecting budget/schedule and advise customer.
• Coordinate with Estimating department on budgets and ensure bid format readiness.
