Job summary

Warfel Construction Company is seeking a highly skilled Preconstruction Manager based in Central Pennsylvania to support Paoli or East Petersburg teams. You will work with clients, design consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure milestones are met across the program and preconstruction phases.

The role requires collaboration with multiple departments, development of schedules, and leadership in estimating and permits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• Minimum of 5 years of preconstruction management or estimating experience.
• Knowledge of building systems and the construction process.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate a project team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Development, Estimating, and Operations on project approach and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain client and consultant relationships.
• Coordinate client requests with the project team.
• Assemble preconstruction deliverables and participate in value management.
• Develop preconstruction schedules, master project schedules, and site logistics plans.
• Lead and participate in the estimating process for Preconstruction and Hard Bid projects.
• Coordinate permits and lead constructability reviews.
• Review contracts and participate in negotiations.
• Assist in transition of projects to construction phase.
• Support procurement strategies with the Project Manager.
• Contribute to proposals and presentations with competitive, accurate estimates.
• Provide guidance to the assigned project team and track historical cost data.
• Develop and maintain trade partner relationships.
