Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Scientific Leader for Imaging in Indianapolis to lead a preclinical imaging lab supporting cardiovascular programs. You will oversee echocardiography and ultrasound imaging, guiding study design, data analysis, and translational interpretation to inform drug discovery decisions.

You will mentor a team of scientists, coordinate across biology and pharmacology functions, and stay current with advances in imaging modalities to strengthen Lilly’s pipeline.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent with extensive preclinical imaging/drug discovery experience.
• 5+ years in rodent echocardiography and ultrasound-based imaging.

Responsibilities

• Lead a preclinical imaging laboratory for cardiovascular and renal programs, including echocardiography and ultrasound imaging.
• Provide imaging expertise for MR, SPECT, PET, and CT studies and interpret imaging endpoints.
• Lead design, execution, analysis, and interpretation of imaging studies to assess structure, function, disease progression, and pharmacologic response.
• Mentor and develop a team of scientists; manage resources; ensure high-quality execution across studies.
• Collaborate with biology, pharmacology, and cross-functional teams; communicate findings clearly; document methods and results.

Education

Ph.D. in cardiovascular biology / pharmacology / physiology / biomedical engineering / molecular biology

Masters with 8+ years in preclinical imaging / translational biology

Bachelors with 10+ years in preclinical imaging / translational biology
