Job summary

Arch Medical Solutions is seeking an EDM Wire Machinist/Programmer to program, set up, and operate Wire EDM machines for precision medical device components. You will read complex drawings, apply GD&T, and optimize machining strategies to meet stringent specifications.

You will collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure parts meet customer requirements, maintain documentation, and follow 5S and safety procedures in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of experience operating and programming Wire EDM machines.
• Strong EDM machining principles and cutting parameters knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with CAM software and machine programming for EDM operations.
• Proficiency using precision measurement tools and inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

• Program wire EDM machines to produce precision medical components.
• Set up fixturing, wire selection, dielectric setup, and tooling.
• Develop machining strategies for tight tolerances and finishes.
• Perform first-article setups and dimensional checks.
• Operate Wire EDM machines safely and efficiently to meet specs.
• Maintain wire tension, flushing parameters, and cutting conditions.
