Job summary

Express Employment Professionals in San Diego is seeking a Sr Machinist Technician for on-site work. You will read engineering drawings, set up CNC machines, and shape metal to tight tolerances, using lathes, mills, and related equipment.Work involves maintaining quality with gauges, performing routine maintenance, and adhering to safety and PPE requirements in a 6am to 3:30pm schedule under a 9/80 overtime policy.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow instructions including Engineering and CAD drawings.
• Clear knowledge and understanding of the application of geometric tolerance symbols.
• Comfortable working with measurement equipment i.e. calipers, ID/OD, micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow engineering and CAD drawings.
• Set up machines and adjust to specifications.
• Monitor quality using gauges and fixtures to ensure tight tolerances.
• Operate CNC based machinery and other tools such as lathes, mills, drills.
• Maintain safety and PPE compliance.
