Job summary

KLA in Hayward, CA seeks a Senior Manual Machinist / Precision Assembly Technician to support manufacture, assembly, testing, and improvement of high-precision air bearing spindle systems. You will machine, fit, assemble, inspect, and test components to micron tolerances, working from engineering drawings and procedures.

The role requires independent work, strong quality focus, and documented results. Minimum 4–6 years of related experience and a high school diploma are expected.

Qualifications

• Requires reading mechanical drawings, GD&T, and assembly drawings.
• Experience with precision machining and assembly.
• Familiar with metrology and inspection methods.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual machine tools and precision equipment.
• Fit, assemble, and adjust high-precision spindle assemblies.
• Measure and inspect components with metrology tools.
• Document production and inspection data.
• Analyze measurements and adjust processes to meet specs.
