Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc in Concord, CA is seeking an experienced machinist to set up and operate lathes, millers, shapers, grinders, and related equipment. You will read blueprints, follow drawings, and perform precise machining to tight tolerances.

This full-time role requires 6+ years in complex machining, potentially CNC programming, and a commitment to quality. You will join a manufacturing team delivering components for critical industries; shift 1, Monday-Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm, with

Qualifications

2 year technical degree or apprenticeship certificate preferred.
Highschool Diploma or equivalent.
Experience reading blueprints is required.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate lathes, millers, shapers, grinders, planers and power drills.
Work from blueprints, sketches and verbal instructions.
Perform diversified machining operations such as boring, turning, facing, reaming, grinding, milling and tapering.
Check own work; usually to tolerance of +/- .00005.
Read and interpret complex blueprints and manufacture parts from a layout drawing.
Check own work by making set-ups and interpret gauges and size blocks.
6+ years of experience in complex machining operations; may include CNC programming.
