Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc. is seeking an experienced machinist in Concord, CA for full-time roles in the manufacturing/production team. You will set up and operate lathes, millers and grinders, reading blueprints, and performing precision machining to tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• 2 year technical degree or apprenticeship preferred or equivalent
• Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings
• Demonstrate high attention to detail
• Support a 24/7 global operation as required
• Overtime as needed

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathes, millers, shapers, grinders, planers and drills
• Read and interpret blueprints to manufacture parts
• Perform diverse machining operations (boring, turning, milling, grinding)
• Maintain proper feeds and speeds for all operations
• Check own work with gauges and blocks
• Work to tolerances of +/- .001- .0005 and ensure quality
