Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Estimator in Farmington, CT. The role requires hands-on leadership in estimating machining hours, setup times, cycles, and overall costs while working with engineering and suppliers to ensure cost-effective manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate understands precision machining, reads complex drawings with GD&T, and can manage multiple projects with strong organizational skills.

Formación

• 10+ years in precision machining or manufacturing
• Read and interpret complex drawings, GD&T
• Estimate labor hours, setup and cycle times, and costs
• Evaluate supplier quotes for realistic methods/cycle times
• Experience with contract manufacturers and outside shops
• Strong manufacturing planning, scheduling, and workflow
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Lean/CI experience (a plus)

Responsabilidades

• Review engineering drawings and prints to determine methods and production requirements
• Estimate labor hours, setup times, cycle times, tooling and costs
• Evaluate quotes from outside machine shops to ensure pricing and cycle times are realistic
• Source manufacturing work to qualified external vendors when appropriate
• Maintain relationships with precision machining suppliers and partners
• Collaborate with engineering to identify cost-saving manufacturing methods
• Monitor outsourced work for quality, schedule, and compliance
• Assist with planning, scheduling, workflow, and job costing
• Troubleshoot production issues and guide internal/external teams
• Support continuous improvement for productivity, quality, and cost savings
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy and prioritization
