Job summary

ATI Aviation seeks an experienced Precision Aerospace Machinist for the Landing Gear Repair team. This role focuses on precision craftsmanship, solving unique repair challenges, and maintaining strict aerospace tolerances in every project.

Successful candidates will bring 5+ years of manual machining experience, ID/OD grinding expertise, and familiarity with aerospace alloys, while owning personal machinist tools. FAA-related experience is a plus and opportunities for advancement exist.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of manual machining experience.
• Extensive ID/OD grinding experience required.
• Blueprint reading and close-tolerance machining experience.
• Experience with chrome-plated surfaces and aerospace alloys.
• Proficient with micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and bore gauges.
• FAA Part 145 or aerospace experience is a plus.
• Must provide personal machinist tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision machining of aircraft landing gear components.
• Perform precision ID and OD grinding to aerospace tolerances.
• Operate manual lathes, Bridgeport mills, horizontal boring mills, surface grinders, and honing equipment.
• Read engineering drawings, repair manuals, and work instructions.
• Inspect finished work using precision measuring instruments.
• Maintain FAA-quality workmanship and a safe, organized work area.
