Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in commercial building design.
• Strong background in precast and prestressed concrete design.

Responsibilities

• Design precast/prestressed beams, columns, double-tees, wall panels, and slabs for wind, seismic, and gravity loads.
• Analyze welded/bolted connections; calculate stresses for stripping, transport, and erection.
• Set up and organize the internal Engineering/Drafting department.
• Conduct plan checks, review subcontractor submissions, and coordinate with Architects and Engineers for timely submittals.
• Perform regular hands-on QC checks on components during the casting process.
