Job summary

Construction Material Testing in the Gulfport area seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector II to lead plant quality control for precast and prestressed production, or perform owner and agency inspections. You will verify prestressing operations, review designs and strength records, and accept or reject finished products.

Qualifications

• Must hold PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level II, current.
• 2+ years in a certified precast or prestressed plant.
• Knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and the DOT specs for your state.
• ACI certification preferred; can hold production line to spec when needed.

Responsibilities

• Verify prestressing operations: strand cert, tensioning, elongation, detensioning, transfer strength.
• Review mix designs, batch tickets, and strength records.
• Accept or reject finished products against specs and shop drawings; disposition repairs.
• Maintain QC records for PCI and DOT programs; sign off as needed.
• Supervise Level I inspectors; assign daily coverage and review records.
• On owner/agency projects, act as outside eye with proper documentation.
