Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Precast Inspector II to lead the plant's quality control for precast and prestressed production, or to perform owner and agency inspections for DOT programs. You will verify prestressing operations, review mix designs and strength records, and accept or reject finished products per specifications.

The role requires PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level II and at least 2+ years in a certified precast or prestressed plant, with DOT/PCI

Qualifications

• PCI QC Level II certification and 2+ years in a certified precast plant.
• Working knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT specs.
• ACI strength testing certification preferred; ability to enforce specs on line.

Responsibilities

• Verify prestressing operations: strand certification, tensioning, elongation, detensioning sequence, and transfer strength.
• Review mix designs, batch tickets, and strength records.
• Accept or reject finished products against specs and shop drawings; disposition repairs.
• Maintain plant QC records for PCI certification and DOT/owner programs.
• Supervise Level I inspectors; assign daily coverage and review records.
