Job summary

Kintec Global Recruitment is seeking a Senior Pre-Commissioning Engineer for a Houston-based EPC role. You will support commissioning planning and execution on energy facilities, from design review through systems completion and handover, with trips to site as required.

You will back the Commissioning Manager, own the execution pack, lead design input, set completion strategy, manage progress reports, QA/QC, and ensure alignment across disciplines for a clean handover.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel offshore and internationally as per project demands.

Responsibilities

• Support the Commissioning Manager in delivering safe, well-documented commissioning procedures.
• Own the commissioning execution pack: plans, system procedures, check sheets, and schedule logic.
• Lead design-review input and define pre-startup sequences, including nitrogen leak testing and purging.
• Set the systems-completion strategy at kickoff and maintain through execution.
• Control progress reporting, raise and close technical queries, and drive resolution.
• Align operations, subsea, export pipeline, and other disciplines for clean handover.
• Maintain documentation standards with weekly updates, QA/QC, and lessons learned.

Kintec Global is hiring a Senior Pre-Commissioning Engineer on behalf of a growing EPC on a full-time basis with highly competitive salary, benefits and opportunities for real career progression. You'll be exposed to exciting offshore projects and work with an expert commissioning team utilizing the latest technologies. This is a Houston office-based role with trips to site as and when required, supporting commissioning planning and execution on energy facilities — from design review through procedures, systems completion, and handover.

The role

i) You will support the Commissioning Manager in delivering safe, well-documented commissioning procedures.

ii) Own the commissioning execution pack: plans, system procedures, check sheets, and schedule logic.

iii)Lead design-review input and define pre-startup sequences, including nitrogen leak testing, purging, vessel fills, and train circulation.

iv) Set the systems-completion strategy at kickoff and hold it through execution.

v) Control progress reporting, raise and close technical queries, and force issues to resolution before they stall handover.

vi)Align operations, subsea, export pipeline, and other disciplines so systems transfer cleanly.

vii) Hold the documentation standard — weekly updates, QA/QC, lessons learned, and bid or proposal material when required.
