Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Senior Practitioner within the Assessment Team, to work full-time based in Medway.

The salary for this Senior Practitioner role is up to £58,934 per annum.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage a reduced caseload within the appropriate statutory framework to a high standard, including complex and joint casework, overseeing practice and supporting team development.
2. Demonstrate expert practice in complex situations, working collaboratively with children, young people, and their families, while assessing and managing higher levels of risk.
3. Contribute to team learning and development by advising and supporting less experienced staff.
4. Supervise staff within your team, including Student Social Workers, Newly Qualified Social Workers, Family Support Workers, and Personal Advisors, with overall responsibility retained by the Team Manager.
5. Lead on an area of practice relevant to your service, providing training, consultation, and sharing resources; participate in the Medway Safeguarding Children's Partnership Champions group if applicable.
6. Champion Medway's practice model, Signs of Safety, through leading group supervision and staying updated with training and research.
7. Maintain high-quality casework documentation that reflects analysis and reflection, ensuring the child’s story is effectively conveyed.
8. Work within statutory timescales, participate in supervision, and stay informed on research and innovative practices in social work.
9. Maintain accurate records in line with GDPR and use specific recording systems for effective case management.

Requirements:

• A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent.
• Understanding of relevant legislation.
• Registered or eligible for registration.
• Good working knowledge of relevant legislation.
