Trial Balance, a well-established accountancy practice in Taunton, seeks a Qualified Accountant to join their experienced team. You will take on greater responsibility and develop commercially, while strengthening client relationships.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA or ACCA with extensive practice experience.
• Strong technical grounding in accounts and taxation.
• Excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues at all levels.
• Commercial awareness, highly organized, proactive and able to manage priorities and deadlines.
• Trusted with responsibility and opportunities to develop commercial skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing full accounts for sole traders, LLPs and limited companies.
• Reviewing accounts and supporting finalisation of work by junior colleagues.
• Preparing corporation tax returns and associated computations.
• Calculating personal and business tax liabilities.
• Managing client relationships and providing proactive accounting, tax and commercial advice.
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
• Monitoring client billing and work in progress.
• Assisting with ad-hoc assignments including financial projections, investigations and due diligence.
• Working closely with senior colleagues on client matters and wider practice development.
