Job summary

Trial Balance is seeking experienced qualified accountants for part-time opportunities with accountancy practices across Somerset. This role offers flexibility around hours and a hybrid working pattern for the right candidate.

We welcome ACA or ACCA qualified accountants, or those qualified by experience, who enjoy working closely with clients and managing accounts and tax work for a varied portfolio. Confidential discussions encouraged. Reference JVS11180.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountants with ACA or ACCA, or those qualified by experience.
• Experience in accountancy practice with client-facing duties.
• Comfortable handling accounts and tax work for varied portfolios.
• Interest in flexible, part-time roles with hybrid working.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory accounts
• Manage corporation and personal tax compliance
• Review VAT returns and bookkeeping
• Maintain client relationships and advise on business matters
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate with Partners on ad-hoc projects

We're particularly interested in speaking with qualified accountants who enjoy working closely with clients and are confident managing accounts and tax work for a varied portfolio.

Typical responsibilities may include:

• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
• Corporation and personal tax compliance
• Reviewing VAT returns and bookkeeping work
• Managing client relationships and providing practical business advice
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
• Working closely with Partners on ad-hoc projects where required

We're keen to hear from ACA or ACCA qualified accountants, or those qualified by experience, with a strong background in accountancy practice.

Whether you've previously managed your own client portfolio, worked at Manager level, or even owned your own practice, we'd be interested in having a confidential conversation about the opportunities available.
