Job summary

PlanIT in Baltimore, MD is seeking a PR Supervisor to lead client PR plans and guide junior staff. You will act as the trusted advisor, develop press materials, coach spokespeople, and deliver clear reporting that ties media results to business goals.

Responsibilities include cross-functional collaboration, proactive media relations, and ensuring projects meet timelines and budgets. Local, office-first hybrid role with occasional after-hours travel.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of public relations experience, agency experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing, or related field.
• Proven success securing national, regional, and trade media coverage.
• Strong writing skills with press materials, thought leadership articles, and bylines.
• Experience prepping and coaching spokespeople for media interviews.
• Proficient with Google Suite, Monday.com, MuckRack, and presentation software.
• Ability to analyze results and distill actionable insights for clients.

Responsibilities

• Writes and reviews PR materials for clarity, accuracy, brand alignment, and strategy.
• Develops media pitches and builds targeted media lists using tools like MuckRack.
• Manages day-to-day project flow and deadlines with Monday.com.
• Leads proactive media relations programs including product launches and thought leadership.
• Prepares spokespeople for interviews and coordinates briefing materials and logistics.
• Presents campaign strategies and reporting to clients with insights and next steps.
• Mentors junior staff and supports new business efforts as needed.
• Ensures projects run on time, on budget, and to agency quality standards.
